Saltwater Fastener Co. | Corrosion-resistant fasteners, by exact spec

How Ordering Works

Quote-first, always. No payment is taken before availability, ship date, and price are confirmed in writing.

Request a Quote

Most online stores take your money first and sort out availability later. This store reverses that, deliberately: a fastener order is only as good as its exact specification, and a wrong spec or a missed ship date costs you a stalled project. So confirmation comes first, payment second.

Step 1 — Send a quote request

Use the quote request form. Give the material (316 stainless or silicon bronze), the fastener type, diameter, thread, length, head and drive style, and quantity. Even one piece is fine. If you are unsure of a field, describe the job — the specification will be confirmed with you before anything is quoted.

Step 2 — We confirm in writing

We check current supplier availability for your exact specification and reply with three things in writing: whether it is available, the ship date we can stand behind, and the price, with product and shipping shown separately. If we cannot confirm it, we say so plainly — and you pay nothing.

Step 3 — You approve, then you pay

Only after you approve the written confirmation does payment happen. No payment is taken at the request stage, and no order is placed on your behalf before approval.

Step 4 — We order and ship

Your order is placed against the confirmed specification and shipped to you. You receive tracking when the shipment leaves. If anything slips after you pay, see the delay promise below.

The delay promise

If an order cannot ship by its confirmed date, you are told promptly, given a revised ship date, and offered the choice to wait or cancel for a full refund. A posted no-refunds policy never overrides that duty for late shipments or for goods that arrive materially different from what was ordered. Customer funds for unshipped orders are treated as a liability, not revenue, until the goods ship.

Returns and wrong specs

What we cannot do

No same-day or next-day shipping promises. No certified material, mill certificates, or lot traceability claims. No delivery-date guarantee without a supplier commitment behind it. No bulk-box pricing — every order is quoted individually. If your job needs any of these, we will tell you plainly that a stocking distributor or certified supplier is the right call instead.

Shipping and minimums

There is no minimum quantity and no free shipping. Shipping is quoted with your order at its actual cost, shown separately from product, so small orders are priced transparently. Because payment fees and parcel shipping weigh heaviest on very small orders, check the total on your written quote before approving — that is what the quote step is for.
